A comedian is to lead a bike ride around the Lake District as part of the upcoming Brewery Arts
Festival.
Phil Kay will be in the saddle as he rides around the Grizedale Forest with a loudspeaker on May 26th, through which he will provide entertainment as part of his unusual high-energy routine, the Westmorland Gazette reports.
Katie Jarvis from the Forestry Commission said: "Grizedale has fantastic biking facilities, including the North Face trail and 'The Black' downhill trail, as well as family cycling routes and Grizedale
Mountain bike shop."
Mr Kay is a big cycling fan with eight
road bikes and
mountain bikes and he will be following his ride round the forest with a stand-up gig at a cycle store in Staveley.
The Grizedale Forest's black downhill run was only opened earlier this month, with the Grizedale
Mountain Bike Club being helped by the Forestry Commission, which supplied heavy equipment for the task.
