With the 40th Glastonbury
imminent, organisers have revealed that festival-
goers can access the car park from as early as Tuesday 22nd June at 21:00.
The idea of allowing people early access is to help reduce traffic congestion, while those who take advantage of this may use the opportunity to find the best pitches for their festival
However, the site itself will not open until 08:00 on Wednesday June 3rd, so the earliest of early birds may have to spend the night in their sleeping bags
in their cars.
Those driving down may wish to stop by a Go Outdoors store along the way to pick up some camping accessories
to make the stay cosier.
Organisers have also asked people to take care of their litter while at the site.
Noting that the farm is left in a "terrible state" after each year's festival
, they have launched the Please Take it Home campaign, which is aimed at ensuring less waste is left behind.
