with plenty of capacity but lightness of weight could be ideal for a long sponsored walk being held in June to raise funds for the Cairngorms Mountain Rescue Team.
The event takes place on June 25th, in Glen Feshie on the west side of the national park, a circular route covering 30 km and containing 550 m of ascent as it makes its way back to the finish at Corarnstilbeg.
Participants getting sponsorship will help raise funds for the team and walkers will be rewarded for their efforts with views across Moine Mhor to Braeriach and Cairn Toul, the third and fourth highest mountains in the UK.
The glen also enjoys a range of native Scots trees and wildlife such as red squirrels.
Braeriach and Cairn Toul are two of four Munros lying on the ridge to the west of the Lairig Ghru pass, with the others being Sgorr an Lochan Uaine and the Devil's Point.
