The Cairngorm Mountain ski resort may be open again for wintersports this weekend after a mild spell of weather.
People turning up at the venue today (February 28th) will have no reason to put on their ski pants
, but management have said wintry weather is expected at the weekend, which could offer some late-season fun.
However, the Cairngorm Snow 50 Day scheduled for Saturday (March 3rd) has been postponed.
The Cairngorm Mountain complex includes its ski facilities, the funicular railway and a visitor centre, all of which are owned by Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE).
Last week, it revealed it is considering the future of the site, which could involve its sale.
HIE chief executive Alex Paterson said: "We never seek to be tied in as the long-term owner or operator of assets which we've developed."
With the snows receding, the next few months may see more walkers on the mountain, which at 4,084 ft is the sixth highest of the Munros.
