Punk band the Buzzcocks have been added to the line-up for September's Loopallu
festival, which takes place in the small Scottish Highland town of Ullapool.
They are to be joined by Skerryvore, a Celtic group from Tiree as the
festival announced the two new acts, combining the themes of famous bands and local talent.
Buzzcocks fans heading to the west coast with their
tents will be able to enjoy hits like What Do I Get and Ever Fallen in Love? at the event in the fishing port, while Skerryvore will be playing there for the second year running.
Star acts already set to appear include The Feeling, The Bluebells and Jon Fratelli.
The event takes place over the weekend of September 16th and 17th, with the small scale of the vent potentially appealing to those who prefer a bit of intimacy to the vast crowds of Glastonbury or
T in the Park.
In an interview with the List Guide to Scottish
Festivals, Fife Fence Collective member Johnny Lynch said he enjoys the smaller Scottish
festivals as they "don't seem concerned with doing something that's boutique and extremely trendy".
