The date has been set for a working party to carry out repairs and improvements on a bothy in the Scottish Highlands next year.
While many people will be putting on their thermal base layers
for walking in the next few months, those who love to get out and about at warmer times of the year and stay in bothies might be interested in the work at Meanach.
It will take place between April 14th and 22nd, with the Mountain Bothies Association saying today (November 23rd) that it particularly needs those with joinery and catering skills.
Meanach Bothy is located in a remote spot to the east of the Mamores Range, near the end of a long track from Kinlochmore road to Luibeilt, which passes Loch Eilde Mor and Loch Eilde Beag on the way.
The Mamores range includes Munros such as Binnein Mor, Binnein Beag, Sgurr Eilde Mor, Na Grugaichean, Stob Coire a'Chairn, An Gearanach, Sgurr a'Mhaim, Am Bodach, Stob Ban and Mullach nan Coirean.
