The Mountain Bothies Association has issued a reminder of the two dates when work parties will be meeting to repair properties in the Scottish Highlands this spring.
These will include work on the Meanach Bothy from April 14th to 22nd, including adding new lining to the ceilings, floors and walls, painting work and adding a new door - as well as possibly some new windows if the existing ones cannot be sealed.
Work will also be carried out on the Strathan bothy between April 6th and 9th.
As the end of winter approaches and the days get longer, many will be thinking of their summer walking plans and might head out with their backpacks
to stay in a bothy at some point this year.
Popular bothies include The Corrour Bothy in the Lairig Ghru pass in the Cairngorms.
Located several miles from any road, it makes an ideal base for climbing the high plateau containing the Munros of Braeriach, Sgorr an Lochan Uaine, Cairn Toul and The Devil's Point.
