Bono operation puts U2 Glasto gig in doubt
Bookmark and Share
U2's appearance at this year's Glastonbury may be in doubt after lead singer Bono had to undergo back surgery.

The Dubliners have already been forced to cancel the start of their world tour due to the operation, which has seen the opening date in Salt Lake City on June 3rd called off.

Bono injured his spine while rehearsing for the event and is now recovering in a hospital in Munich after the surgery.

Fans hoping to see the group in the Somerset venue will hope the frontman recovers soon enough to make the festival, which runs from June 23rd to 27th.

However, those planning on spending a few days in festival tents will still have lots of big names to see in the line-up even if Bono does not make it.

Dizzee Rascal, Snoop Dogg, the Scissor Sisters, Stevie Wonder and Rolf Harris are all scheduled to appear over the weekend.
