A leading mountain biker
from Battle in Sussex has been tipped to hit the heights again in 2010.
Oliver Burton won all the regional UK races, the Southern and English championships and two first and two second places in the national championships in 2009, the Bexhill Observer notes.
He will now take part in the 2010 Mountain Bike
World Cup series, having won the final round of the national series last year, which was staged in Portugal.
Such feats may help inspire those thinking of taking up the sport to invest in some cycling clothing
Earlier this week, British Cycling revealed more details of one of its top events, the UCI Mountain Bike
Cross-Country World Cup.
It has revealed that a pro-sprint eliminator featuring 100 riders will kick off the weekend, which starts on April 23rd and continues to April 25th in Dalby Forest in Yorkshire.
The 24th will see junior races take place, before the World Cup itself on the 25th.
