Those keen on experiencing a music festival on the continent may be keener to invest in festival tents and head to Germany on news Coldplay are to play at two such events in the country next year.

The band will be a headline act at the Rock am Ring and Rock in Park festivals over the weekend of June 3rd to 5th, with the first of these taking place at the Nurburgring in the north of the country, famous for motorsports, while the second will be held in Nuremberg.

Tickets cost €150 (£127) for those buying before January 15th 2011, which includes the cost of camping.

Those who fancy going may wish to invest in sleeping bags and camping furniture to ensure a comfortable stay.

Other bands already lined up for the twin festivals are Kings Of Leon, The Gaslight Anthem and Mando Diao.

Last week, the Sun reported the Strokes are set to play at the Reading and Leeds festivals next year, but there has been no confirmation of this on the band's website.
