Simply Excellent! Highly recommended!, 24 April 2011

If you are after a light, compact and easy to use stove, then this is it! Only 85g it easily fits into my msr kettle/pots due to its compact nature. This thing is always reliable, heats water quickly (the claimed value of 1 litre in under 4 minutes is correct) and will easily cook for two. I would probably not use it as a base camp stove for several people as you would burn through fuel though. It appears to fit all screw type canisters and is easily controllable with gloves on.
Downsides?: I haven't found any. Some say this is noisy. True, but I find that it is no louder than alternatives from other manufacturers. The only true downside to these stoves is the fuel if you are using it at high altitude or intense cold ... but you would be using a multi-fuel stove if in these environments! I find that warming the fuel in your sleeping bag before you cook works sufficiently.
This is an excellent, easy to maintain and use stove, which for the price, cannot be beaten.

Ive owned the pocket rocket for approx 6 years now and it's still going strong, I have other more expensive/newer stoves but this has always been my favourite and comes everywhere with me.
It's light and compact enough to not even notice youre carrying it but it's boil time is tremendous, very powerful.
My only regret is that I bought it from a high street chain and not from Go Outdoors as I paid double it's current price (absolute bargain)!!
Would i recommend?
Definately.. buy it, buy it NOW!!

good for brews!!, 22 November 2010

bought this product a while but haven't had a chance to test it untill last weekend, firstly i was pleasently surprised when it came two days after i ordered it ( even though i selectd the 3-5 day option) and secondly how quickly it heats up water, two large brews in a matter of minutes. the only down side of this product is the reletivley small amount of contact on the pot/pan this means that level ground is pretty vital.
