Sturdily built but badly designed, 28 April 2013
By Geraldo (Dorset)
As mentioned in previous reviews the sockets are are aligned so that the plug cable tails interfere with access to the socket below. Most modern moulded plugs with rigid inflexible tails or usb chargers such as for the kindle render the centre socket useless. This could easily be resolved by turning the sockets through 90 degrees.

I am not an electrician but the cable also seems to be somewhat over specified making the item very heavy and difficult to pack away.

better with power, 10 October 2012
By Netty (Manchester)
Well we have camped in tents before but this was the first time we have been camping after purchasing a new tent and used electric hook-ups. Tents are usually the last place you'd think of for electric, but with the modern tents now allowing cable entry into the tent without you noticing where the cable is entered through a zip part of the tent and still draft free. Well what can I say, except if your in any doubt about buying this is a great item to purchase. The only downside we found was the manufacturer seems to have put the sockets on the box wrong way round, side to side would have been much easier, as this unit plugs are placed top to bottom, so they are alittle difficult to use with some of plugs that we tried to plug in as there was not enough room for certain plugs and cabling. Otherwise was value for money though.
