Designed specifically to suit a women's stride pattern and foot shape, the
Merrell Siren Ventilator is a durable and breathable shoe ideal for all-day hikes and trail rides.
With an upper made from
Nubuck Suede webbing and a breathable
Ventilator Mesh (complete with an
Aegis® anti-microbial lining for improved odour resistance), the Siren Ventilator is both breathable and durable. The
bellows toungue protects the top of the foot and also stops gravel getting into the shoe around the laces.
The
Vibram Siren sole is made with grippy TC5+ rubber to provide a
stable footing on slippery or loose terrain, whilst bumpers to the front and back help to protect feet from knocks and keep the shoes looking good. A
nylon arch shank,
anatomical footbed and
compression-molded EVA midsole with
air cushion heel all help to position and protect the foot for maximum comfort.
Despite all this technical brilliance, it's on the inside where
Merrell's hi-tech appraoch is most evident. Their exclusive
QForm® midsole uses strategically placed cushioning to counter the rapid supination and pronation that occurs in the stride pattern of most women, and so

This is my second pair of these excellent shoes. They are cool, dry and comfortable and also allow my custom insoles.

Really comfy to wear, even on long walks. Not good in boggy patches as they let water in, but I was aware of this when I bought them. However, when I have got them wet they have dried surprisingly quick. Haven't regretted buying them once!
