Love these shoes, 26 July 2011

Have had these a couple or weeks and used them five or six times. My first pair of walking shoes, but finding them really comfortable with as good a grip as boots. Am walking Hadrians Wall in a couple of weeks and planning to do the city bits in these, so I guess that will be the acid test. But so far loving them!

Good hiking shoes. Good grip and sturdy. However, the waterproofing doesn't last as long as other goretex shoes.
Also, they fall apart after a while (around 9 months of twice weekly use).
If they were cheaper I would buy them again as they're very comfy, but at this price I'd rather buy a shoe I know will last.

Had a pair of Merrells years ago and they were super comfy and durable. Just bought these which after a few days wear seem just as comfortable. Merrells seem to fit well for people with wider feet. I'm sure these will last me a good few years.
