Number three, 05 November 2013

I'm also on my third pair of these shoes. I initially bought them for work, I wanted something comfortable to wear as I was quite often on my feet for long periods. They did the job perfectly and i've been buying them ever since. They've been treking with me in New Zealand and the south west of America and they are just perfect. Although it's worth pointing out that they are not water proof or even water resistant.
Ok now but had better, 24 October 2013

This is the 3rd pair of these shoes I have had. The previous 2 pairs have been faultless, extremely comfortable and have lasted me well over 2 years per pair. The latest pair initially caused a painful blister on my righ Achillis tendon. I tried very hard to walk the shoes in but it took a good 3 weeks and more than a bit of pain. I did contact Go Outdoors about this problem and to request a replacement pair. I was told that this wasn't possible and the only way they could be exchanged was if the store sent them back to Merrell and Merrell deemed them defective. Needing them for a forthcoming holiday I decided to keep them and limp through the discomfort. The shoes are ok now but next time I'll consider a different shoe and a different supplier.
Merrel Moab Ventilator shoe, 24 October 2013
By Ian (SW Wales)
They do exactly what Merreli says they should do, a well ventilated walking shoe for all day use. I use mine at work wearing them in 21ºC for 14hrs a day for 7 days and think they are great. They aren’t waterproof because they aren’t supposed to be!
