With a tough sole and a mesh upper, the Merrell Moab Ventilator is a breathable shoe ideal for all-day use in the outdoors.

The upper is made with both Dura Leather and a breathable Ventilator Mesh, complete with an Aegis® anti-microbial mesh lining for additional comfort and odour-resistance. This comination gives a breathable shoe that's also supportive and durable. A bellows toungue pads the top of the foot and stops grit and gravel getting into the shoe around the laces.

A Vibram Multi-Sport sole made with grippy TC5+ rubber ensures a stable footing on slippery or loose terrain, while the synthetic leather toe and heel bumpers help to protect your feet from knocks and keep the shoes looking good.

On the inside, the Moab Ventilator boasts a compression molded EVA midsole and Air Cushion heel to partially absorb impact shocks and cushion your feet. A molded nylon arch shank and Ortholite® Anatomical Footbed stiffen the sole and support the foot, preventing your arches from collapsing. Together this enables your feet to work for longer without getting sore and tired - a great feature for multi-day hikes in warmer weather.

A versatile shoe, the Moab Ventilator is ready to handle any terrain. Because these are shoes, not boots, they are best suited to low inclines and walking on trails or paths. If this is your aim then the hard wearing Moab Ventilator Shoes are an ideal choice.

I recently purchased my fourth pair of these shoes being more than delighted with the previous 3 pairs
the fourth pair however seemed to be narrower an d uncomfortable so i took them back to exchange.
G Outdoors staff were happy to exchange them with cash difference for a pair of gtx. 1st walk and they are chewing the back off my heels.
2nd walk. 4 miles. same problem. i will take them back and swap them again. hopefully third time lucky .

Great Product, 17 February 2014

Now on my second pair having literally walked and scrambled a pair to destruction after daily use.
Very well designed, providing excellent through- flow ventilation (on a windy day you can actually feel the air on your feet). Foot stays fresh and comfortable even in warm weather- a welcome contrast to many trekking shoes. Never marketed as "waterproof", these shoes will allow you to get wet, then dry quickly, whilst wearing, - perfect for summer camping.
Also own the more expensive gore tex version but this cheaper shoe excels in a wider range of conditions.
Highly recommended.

Merrell Men's Moab Ventilator Shoes - Well worth the Money!, 04 December 2013
By pappalazaroo (Gloucester)
They are an all round shoe, I found them perfect in the tropics wearing them all day in temperatures around 35 to 40c. They breath with your feet and provide excellent grip on rocky or sandy terrain. If you want to use them in the cold and wet weather then look elswhere. They are ok in light showers but trekking around airport terminals, cobbled streets, rocky paths, sandy beaches or marbled hotel foyers they are ideal. You can run in them as well as they are light but of sturdy construction. I wear mine a lot and they look as good as new showing no signs of deterioration, Not cheap but they will last. All things considered good value for money.
