Lightweight, tough and very breathable walking shoes you can wear as your everyday all-rounders.
With a tough sole and a mesh upper,
the Merrell Moab Ventilator
is a breathable shoe ideal for all-day use in the outdoors.
The upper is made with both Dura Leather
and a breathable Ventilator Mesh
, complete with an Aegis® anti-microbial mesh lining
for additional comfort and odour-resistance. This comination gives a breathable shoe that's also supportive and durable. A bellows toungue
pads the top of the foot and stops grit and gravel getting into the shoe around the laces.
A Vibram Multi-Sport
sole made with grippy TC5+ rubber ensures a stable footing on slippery or loose terrain
, while the synthetic leather toe and heel bumpers help to protect your feet from knocks and keep the shoes looking good.
On the inside, the Moab Ventilator boasts a compression molded EVA midsole
and Air Cushion heel
to partially absorb impact shocks and cushion your feet. A molded nylon arch shank
and Ortholite® Anatomical Footbed
the sole and support the foot, preventing your arches from collapsing.
Together this enables your feet to work for longer without getting sore
and tired - a great feature for multi-day hikes in warmer weather.
A versatile shoe, the Moab Ventilator is ready to handle any terrain.
Because these are shoes, not boots, they are best suited to low inclines
and walking on trails or paths. If this is your aim then the hard
wearing Moab Ventilator Shoes
are an ideal choice.

Comfy but not durable, 21 May 2016
By Jon (Sheffield)
I've had 2 pairs of these and they are very comfortable even before they are bedded in.
Unfortunately they start to look worn out within a matter of weeks with the second pair splitting on the inside edge of the toe after about 3 months (bare in mind I do a lot of miles in them every week). I think I am going to go for something more durable next time such as the Scarpa Crux.
Moab Ventillator, 23 October 2015
By Bill (Hitchin, Herts)
I bought these for everyday use in town, and holidays. I will use them every day, probably averaging about 3 miles each day. They are my second purchase of similar walking shoes - the previous pair have lasted 4 years and are still usable, although the tread is becoming smooth. I find the Ventilators extremely comfortable. They do not claim to be waterproof - if I want heavier duty, I will use boots - the lack of a membrane is a bonus as they don't feel at all sweaty. In fact, the feel is more like a pair of sandals but with additional protection. I will use them in rain, and expect they will get waterlogged in heavy rain - most of the time that isn't an issue. I can't comment on longer term durability, but there are no problems so far. Delivery and communication from GO Outdoors were first class.
Dry warm weather shoe, 07 October 2015
By Sierra1 (California)
Fantastic shoe for hot, dry countries i.e not for the UK. Forget the complaints about the shoe not being waterproof!
Definitely not even water resistant, 19 August 2015
By RodN (Cinderford, Glos)
I bought these in store recently, not knowing that they were not waterproof. "Not" waterproof" is an understatement. Just walking through wet grass resulted in *totally* wet socks and feet. Most disappointed! I wasted my money.

I was really looking forward to wearing these shoes after reading glowing reviews but all I can say is that they are very mediocre.
I had to go up a full shoe size and there are still pressure points whilst walking especially on the top of the foot.
The cushioned sole that is mentioned feels very flat with no cushioning. You can feel the impact with every step.
Sole is grippy as expected with Vibram.
All in all very disappointed especially after forking out £67.00
People say they feel like slippers but remember slippers have no cushioning what so ever so be warned.
