Designed to improve protection overheating, their low weight and more even foot temperature will increase your performance and your level of comfort.
The GORE-TEX Performance Comfort Footwear lining works in conjunction with the Air-Active® drysole footbed, providing you with full protection from the weather while allowing great ventilation around your foot, making sure you don't feel clammy in warmer/wetter conditions, or when you start to put effort in for that final push.
The stiff ribbing, flex heel and padded cuff on the boot have been crafted for extra ankle support and stability, while the cushioned tongue, with open mesh construction and anatomical microfleece padding, can be removed for extra ventilation if need be.

Exceptional Service by Go Outdoors but below par product, 02 December 2012
By PsyDoc (Sheffield)
I bought this almost four months ago and used it on 6 hikes across Peak District. On the 7th one the right boot started leaking.
Go Outdoors offered excellent service to resolve the issue! Really feel valued being their customer!

A shame, 29 November 2012

I was very hesitant about getting a pair of Meindl's and my fears have come to light. I had them for about a month and did various grades of walks with them, 13 miles over 9 Wainwrights including Helvellyn a week after I got them which, despite giving me tiny blisters on my heels, which I put down to newness, the boots were excellent, very light and comfortable.
Then 3 weeks later took them on a short 4-5 mile walk up a small fell they gave me really bad blisters on my heels and leaked through the top of the toe area. I had suspicions about the leaks but wasn't 100% sure.
The guys a Go Outdoors were excellent and after they sent them back to Meindl I got a credit. I have now got a pair of Mammut Monolith which shall be but through their paces.
These were my first pair of Meindl's and I shan't be buy anymore, judging by some of the other reviews others have had similar problems with them.
Don't lose your receipt!

Disappointment, 13 October 2012

Whilst on a weeks walking trip out in my new boots, both of my feet got very wet. I put it down to the extreme wet conditions believing the rain must have seeped from the top of the boot but the following days again resulted in my feet getting wet. On returning home I used the boots for walking the dogs on what can be described as a four mile wet grass / mud route again the boots leaked around the toe area. I sent the boots back to Meindl who were very helpful, they stated there was a small hole in the gortex but this was down to wear and tear (Four Months old) but lucky for me a seam had started to come apart resulting in a refund.
I have to say the grip of the boots on all surfaces was first class, kind to my feet and warm but and won't be having the same boots again. If it wasn't for the faulty seam I would be lumbered we a pair of leaking boots.
