Just bought. Unworn. Noticed heel was lifting and coming unstuck from sole. Back to shop tomorrow.
Fantastic Boots, 03 December 2012

I tried on about 6 different makes of walking boot in the shop. After going up and down ramps, walking around etc...still couldn't make my mind up. The Miendl looked and felt great but i thought a bit too hard and unforgiving. The guy working there told me he had a pair and they would relax after a few walks.
Bought the boots and went and done a 16 mile walk next day. Against all good advice i know. Anyway, boots performed fantastic. Walked in rain and through a lot of water my feet stayed perfectly dry without the Gortex lining. No problems at all. Extremely comfortable, although, I thought the foot bed was quite hard, so i invested in some soft extra soles. Theses worked a treat and i would say if you purchase these boots then get the extra soles, you won't regret it.
I have been on about 12 walks with theses boots now and they get better and better, feel like they are made for my feet. So comfortable. They are snug and reassuring where they should be, around heel and forefoot but give plenty of welcome room in the front for toes. You feel very foot sure when wearing them. The grip on the heel is fantastic. The memory foam is a delight.
If you are looking for a top class boot that ticks all the boxes and are prepared to pay for what you get, then you won't go wrong with theses.
