Bought these 18 months ago and have used them mainly for dog walking, doing about 5 miles on roads and Salisbury Plain every day, so about 2500 miles so far. Some wear to the sole, upper still good and you can walk through 3 inch puddles withought getting wet. Best boots I have ever had.

I have done approx 40 miles in the last couple of weeks and have to say that these boots are fantastic.

I got a pair of these in the brown leather, same boot. I did Kilimanjaro and the Inca Trail in Peru to Machu Picchu in them as well as 4 years solid hiking, including the Yorkshire 3 Peaks 3 times in 2015, they've done Snowdon 4 times, Ben Nevis the hard way once and Scafell Pike and they are still going strong, the tread pattern is just starting to wear and I reckon they will do all of the above once more before they are turned in to plant pots. They honestly are the most solid boots your will find. I have size 10 and quite wide feet and while the rubber rand meant wearing them in took a short while longer they were still comfy. They're 100% water proof having been up to the tops more than a few times and never letting anything in around the tongue. The quick hook eyelets are a god send rather than lace holes, you can adjust as many times as you like along your day if you like, locking a tight toe down or slacking off and tightening the top, the quick hooks are perfect. The grip is awesome although you don't want to be on Yorkshire Stone in the wet when they are new, keep them for off-road until they're worn in. The rubber rand is bulletproof, after all this time there are only superficial war wounds to show and the leather is still perfect, they wax up beautifully. What can I say, I'm a big fan.

I have had these for 6 months now and have worn them through most weather conditions.
The support is great and the fit is good.
The laces are a bit poor and I don't feel I am able to pull them really tight. I know you can buy new, thicker laces, but I shouldn't have to when spending this much on a pair of boots.
The main fault I have found is that they don't have much grip on damp rocks. This is a particular problem for me as I do a lot off scrambling in the lake district and the gulley's are nearly all wet. On the plus side, walking down steep grassy banks they stick like glue.
In all, an okay boot but I wouldn't go for Mammut again I don't think.

This is my second pair of Mammut’s I was looking for some boots for some serious hill/mountain walking.
It’s true you get what you pay for, these boots are expensive but first class. Great ankle support, nice and water proof and not too heavy.
I’m not a fan of the traditional brown leather boots, the nubuck grey and black look stylish too.
