The Mammut® FeetMap System addresses the very different zones of the foot: those that sweat, that feel the cold and that are pressure-sensitive. Mammut® FeetMap locates cushioning, warming, cooling, slip and nonslip lining materials in all the right places.

    Memo Foam
Premium quality foam cushioning which is worked into the instep, shin, and ankles of many Mammut models. The foam has excellent elasticity and returns to its original shape after being subject to intensive loads.

    Scale Technology
Together with the proven flexible ribs, the scalelike arrangement of the lugs on this hiking sole ensure maximum grip on all kinds of terrain and rounded, gentle rolling behaviour.

    Rolling Concept
The patented Mammut sole concept with customized support and cushioning to support natural foot roll, and thus prevent fatigue (danger of twisting).

    Liquid Rubber Protection
Zones featuring Liquid Rubber reinforcements safeguard the footwear against abrasion and damage. This rubber is applied when wet and is lighter than conventional rubber rands.

    Light-weight but not water-tight., 03 January 2017
    By CJ (Manchester)
Was talked into purchasing these boots by Go Outdoors sales adviser when I went in store to pick up a different pair of boots that I'd reserved online (the paired I'd reserved were a third of the price I paid for these) I was assured I'd get many years and more miles of dry wear with these than I would with my original choice. First used these on a day of purchase where no rain fall but the ground was wet with the morning dew. Within a few hours my feet were feeling wet. I returned them back to the store on the next day of purchase but was advised it was my choice of socks that caused water ingress into the boots. So I was sold several pairs of expensive socks to try. That was a few months ago now and I've been on several walks since. So I feel that I can give a fair review on these boots now and to summerise I'd say yes these boots are light-weight but not water-tight.

Initial experience review Boxing Day 2016, 03 January 2017
    By Barry (Stoke-on-Trent)
Yes purchased my Mammut Hiking Boots for Xmas, Initial fit was good, memory foam insert helped the very comfortable feel, after a 6 mile walk my feet were still comfy and dry. So we will see how they perform, hopefully much better than the recent reviews indicate.

Leisure boots, not serious walking boots., 31 October 2016
    By john stone (Glasgow)
Aa many have stated, they seem to disintegrate quickly after a year of use. The soles are splitting on mine and they lost all semblance of being waterproof a while ago. I need to wear Sealskin socks to stay dry and warm.
    I would not recommend.

Not true to their brand name, 24 October 2016
    By Glenn (London)
I have own a pair of this boots and I have to say they are definitely very comfortable out of the box and you can wear them for a very long time without feeling hot or clammy.

I have bought a lot of stuff from mammut over the years, mostly climbing equipment e.t.c and I have grown to love their high quality attitude to their work and have been one happy customer Until.

This boots fall short of their standards
The rubber sole started coming apart and separating from the form part of the sole about a 8 months to a year in.
Most of the hooks on the upper part of the boots have broken off.
Just used 4 times in their first 6 months they started leaking through, though the gore tex in them doesn't seem to help much in this case. The boots are rated as waterproof but since then, in the 15 months I have had them, my only protection against water is the water repellent treatment I apply from nikwax. Otherwise I might just wear a pair of thick comfortable socks and toe capped sandals.

This experience has kept me away from exploring more of mammut products other than the ones I know of , the climbing equipment is still as good as ever. Solid, robust and reliable.

    Dissapointed, 20 July 2016
    By Brian Oldham (Oldham)
Bought in may, quality & fit seemed good. July after maybe 80 miles right boot sole started to come away and my foot was soaking whilst walking in the rain. Expected much more from them given the price. Returned awaiting Mammut response. It has put me right off the brand.
