I did a lot of research before buying this set and Petzl are at the top when it comes to this equipment. There are some vastly different prices about for the same gear. There are 2 wired sling like material with the clips on which is attached to the rope. The rope passes through a friction device if you have a fall. The loop goes through your climbing harness.
