The sound from this whistle is very disappointing. The harder you blow, the more it sounds like air rushing through a tube. A gently blow produces a very flat whistling sound, certainly no where near the claimed 108dB.
I suspect the plastic insert in the whistle (look down the mouth opening) has been positioned incorrectly. Oddly though, I checked several of these in the store and they were all the same.
I bought a similar designed whistle branded Handy Heros, for £1 at GO, and it is much, much better than this whistle. I recommend you steer well clear of this whistle.

Good quility and very loud over 100db enough to get you heard in the remotest of places
