If you’re the kind of person that likes to have everything just in case (that includes a tool for removing stones from a horses hoof even though you’ve never met a horse!) then this is not for you.
I did like most people and spent some time surfing the internet to find the best multi-tool to spend my cash on only to get caught up in the trap of comparing how many tools each one had rather than thinking what do I actually need it for. I finally settled on the Skeletool and I’ve not regretted it once.
So what do you get for your money?
KNIFE
It’s made of high quality steel (better quality steel than the cheaper model)and has keep it edge for several months now and it’s one handed opening is a pleasure to use (left handers will find it a little harder but still easy enough). The locking part lock solid and your more likely to snap the blade than get it to close on your fingers.
SCREWDRIVER
The bits provided will cover most eventualities and the spare bit hasn’t fell out despite heavy use and repeated droppings. While its not the most comfortable to use whilst screwing it does the job well and the bits haven’t done the annoying thing of becoming rounded off and useless.
BOTTLE OPENER
It opens beer what more do you need to know? Okay it might open other beverages too!
PLIERS
The plies are tapered so that only the very tips fully touch which means it grips the thinnest of items well. Handy for plucking your eyebrows in an emergency. The handles are slightly curved which makes it very comfortable to use.
Lets be honest this is the sexiest looking multi-tool out there and it will hopefully kill off the frumpy image of the Swiss army knife type multi-tool forever. Others companies should take note!
As for cost. All I’ll say is take advantage of the price matching before you right this bad boy off as too expensive. You might be pleasntly surprised!
