Hi Gear Ultralite Self-Inflating Sleeping Mat:

Hi Gear's Ultralite Self Inflating Mat is a perfect sleeping solution for backpacking, camping, trekking, travelling or festival-goers who need comfort and insulation using the minimum weight and space.

It has a reinforced quick-flow valve, and ripstop shell fabric, so is durable enough to cope with any scrapes wherever you may take it.

The mat provides good support with its' strong TPU lamination, and weight is reduced because of the tapered shape.

It packs away easily into its' own stuff sack, to fit easily into a corner of your rucksack.

Crash Anywhere On It!!, 11 September 2011

Had enough of my old foam mat and feeling every lump on the ground, I read a few good reviews on here and decided to go for it. Best ever nights sleep and slept on rough stoney ground too! Not a lump came through!!!! Just give the mat a few good puff's to get it firm and enjoy.

Top for Comfort, 18 July 2011

Getting the obvious out of the way, the ultralite is comfortable, lightweight and bright orange. Not so immediately apparent is that if your wife is 6 months pregnant and a little wary of camping out for a few nights, this piece of kit is fantastic. Paired with a decent sleeping bag it's got to be the bees knees. The mummy shape is probably not for everyone but you can always keep your socks on.

excellent value, 29 June 2011

After spending one to many rough nights on my standard foam mat I decided to give this little mat a try. At first i was attracted by the excellent price when compared to the silly prices of the brand leaders of these products and I have to say I cant fault it. To self-inflate you just unroll it and loosen the valve and let it do its thing for a few minutes as it sucks in air to fill the vacumn inside, then I find giving it a good few extra puffs to get it really firm makes all the difference in comfort. I combine it with a foam mat underneath to make a very comfy, well insulated sleeping platform that is very lightweight and easy to transport thanks to the mats small size when folded down. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a bit more comfort in their tent that doesnt want to spend a fortune. Also comes with a puncture repair kit for emergencys and a sensibly sized orange stuff sack. Great.
