Poorly thought out, 04 June 2017
By Julianna (Worcestershire)
We bought this tent last year but due to illness we were only able to take this out last week. The rain and wind whipped through the front door flap, making an average temperature night extremely cold!! We ended up wearing dressing gowns, socks, tee shirts and pjs to bed. In the morning I had to mop up the water which had accumulated in the living space too. We read the reviews on here a couple of weeks ago and bought some sticky Velcro, but even that was not successful.

We also had a problem with the bedroom compartment zips not meeting together and zipping up at all.

We are so disappointed with this tent, but only had two days out of five where we had rain.

I feel that there is no way I can give this tent five stars, and I'm only giving it three as we were happy with the space it provided us. We were so glad we never put the carpet down as it would have been ruined.

Not put off camping, but will be buying a different tent for our next outing.

Great Family Tent, 29 August 2016
By Scott (Moreton-in-Marsh)
Having read several poor reviews I was a bit hesitant to purchase the Tourer 6 but it seemed such a good deal with the footprint and carpet and all the space it offered, so we went ahead and purchased.

Well what can I say, the tent was erected fully as per the instructions and during our week away came up against strong winds, torrential heavy rain and also some sunshine. With all of this in mind the tent hardly moved and showed no signs of leaking.

Having read some of the previous poor comments I can only say that maybe people are not putting it up correctly.

Finally the only reason I've awarded it four stars out of five is as per previous comments the front door does not zip shut along the bottom but easily sorted with some sticky backed velcro.

Overall a great family tent.

Great Tent, 31 July 2016
By Chris (Wokingham)
Big tent. Easy to put up. Stable and dry. We had a week in the lakes with no bother at all even in the wind and rain. The only thing stopping it getting 5 stars is the small bag which makes it difficult to put away.

Great tent!, 05 July 2016
By Mhari (Edinburgh)
We bought this tent last summer when it was on offer. We took it up to the north of Scotland last July to a family campsite and nearly lost it into the North Sea one stormy night (worst night of my life). Luckily we had some very helpful neighbours who lent us some storm pegs and helped us out, couldn't believe the tent was in one piece in the morning. Testament to this tent for sure, others weren't so lucky. Went online and bought proper PROPER pegs and feel much more confident with it.

Been away with it twice since and it's absolutely perfect. It's so roomy and well laid out, we always get lots of compliments on it. We have the carpet and footprint too. Definitely advise to buy decent pegs for it and don't fully rely on the basic ones it comes with.

The only issue, as other reviewers have stated, the bit by the front door has a gap, design flaw for sure. We tried sticky Velcro but it didn't really work well. We emailed GOoutdoors head office and they paid for it to be sent away and proper Velcro strips to be professionally added to it. Now it's spot on.

Very pleased with the tent all in all, glad we got this one.

Great tent, just a shame it doesn't stand up to its purpose, 21 June 2016
By viewphotographic (Worcester)
We purchased this tent in February, and took it away in April. We had no trouble pitching it and first thoughts are that we loved the space and the layout of the tent. A short while after pitching it the troubles started, there was a slight breeze but the whole tent seemed very unstable, the front porch acts like a giant parachute. We double checked everything thinking we had made an error when pitching it, but no it was perfectly pitched and in what I consider quite a sheltered spot on the campsite. we are not novice campers and have had tents of this size before. The wind picked up during the night, and the whole tent shakes and is very unstable also the wind comes through the bottom of the front door making the tent very drafty, this was sorted by using a few pegs and some Velcro. We decided to cut short our break because we were concerned about the tent ripping. When we took the tent down we found that 3 out of the 5 poles were bent. When we got home we contacted the Go Outdoors tent line who put us in contact with our local branch, we told them that the poles were bent, and they told us that due to this tent only being available through Go Outdoors there are no replacement poles for it, but they accepted the tent, carpet and footprint back for a full refund which I thought was very good of them to do as it was outside the exchange period. In short if you are looking at buying this tent, maybe look at something else of this price range as other tents are more suitable for camping.
