A durable trekking and travel rucksack with plenty of storage space.

The rugged Hi Gear Tibet 55 +10 Rucksack has been updated for a more comfortable fit, being a versatile and affordable pack for travel and trekking expeditions.

It is constructed from an abrasion and tear resistant fabric which keeps your gear protected, while the integral raincover will help keep everything dry if you get trapped in a sudden downpour.

Hi Gear's 'Cool Air Design' back ventilation system, with an adjustable back and chest strap, ensures you a comfortable fit when  carrying your load.

The hip belt with lumbar support can now be pulled forward to help you find an easier and more comfortable fit, whilst the side compression straps let you slim down the overall size and keep weight next to your body.

You can divide the main compartment space to evenly spread the load and, if you need more space, the top collar and lid expand to give you the extra 10 litres

  • Padded shaped shoulder straps
  • 2 compartments with zip divider
  • Main compartment with extendable collar
  • 2 concealed bellows side pockets
  • 2 side bottle pockets
  • External & secure internal lid pockets
  • Hydration compatible
  • Elastic bungee cord on front
  • Ice axe/walking pole holders
  • PU coated 600D polyester

Excellent bag and not just for the money!, 07 April 2017
By Purkie23 (Gloucester)
So I'm writing this after owning the bag for what must be nearly ten years. It's been round India, Southeast Asia, South America, Australia and I'm now adjusting it (heavily) ready for Cuba.

This bag is so adjustable it's untrue. I though I was going to have to buy a smaller bag, around the 35L mark, but having pulled in the sides, removed the aluminium back support rods and taped up all the straps it has reduced down to an excellent "short trip" size. On the other hand it can grow and grow around you as you acquire more bits and pieces.

As I look around it now there's still not a single broken buckle, strap or chord and not a scuff to be seen. The only defect is that the bit of bungee on the front has lost its elasticity but I'll give it a break as it's now so old.

I was only looking online out of curiosity to see if it was still available and to find it now for such a low price is astounding. I'm 9 years into my military career and I can't recommend it highly enough. Well done Hi Gear ????

Its OK for the price. Bring back the phantom 55+10!!, 07 March 2017
By ben (Buckinghamshire)
I bought this rucksack hoping it would be a good replacement for the excellent Hi Gear Phantom 55+10 that I previously bought which gave me 5 years of rough use on many great adventures.

Unfortunately, this isn't really the same standard.

It is a well featured bag for the price, but has a cheaper feel than the old Phantom, and I'm not convinced it will remain comfortable in the long term. The shoulder straps, although made with thick foam, are not especially rigid or reinforced, so I worry that as the foam ages they will fold as they collapse.

Little niggles:

- no key chain in any of the pockets. This is a such a useful feature, I don't know why they'd drop it.

- the rain cover is stored in the outer top pocket and secured with an elastic strip from within. This wastes the top pocket, and means the top pocket must be unpacked to get at the rain cover. Much better to have the rain cover in an dedicated slip at the bottom of the pack.

Overall: its pretty good value, and ideal for DofE and the like, but I'd worry at its longevity for regular adventurers..

Superb ruck sack that will keep you going, 12 October 2015
By Nods (Dunstable)
I have used this several times now in lake district and day hikes around woods. very comfy with lots of features and decent build quality. Rain cover should be a different colour, yellow attracts bugs, zipper pulls could be bigger but sorted with little strips of para cord. Dont think will last years and years but very happy so far. Good price.

Fantastic value!, 05 June 2015
By Rusty (Plymouth)
I chose this rucksack for the plethora of features it has for a low end item.
There are compartments everywhere, handy stowaway pockets everywhere and adjustable straps for additional things.
It's fully adjustable and the snuggest fit I've ever had.
