Waterproof? Robust?, 28 November 2012
By Korthal (Birmingham)
Bought these in June for the Summer and considered them a bargin as they were reduced. By August they were already showing signs of wear. Sole has worn through and not waterproof. The rubber sole that return up by toe is coming adrift. Based on my experience I would not advise you buy them. If I could give them less stars I would.

Weak soles, 01 August 2012
By Ash (Norwich)
Got these for work, as I walk about 40miles a week in my job, on pavements and roads, and needed a comfortable, hard-wearing, waterproof walking shoe.
These aren't waterproof, in any way, shape, or form. First day out, they soaked in the rain like a sponge. By the end of the first hour of work, my feet were soaked..
The shoe itself is comfortable, and after a month of use, alternating with different pair of shoes, the uppers still look good. The soles however have worn flat in places, and have gone through to the grey colour that's beneath the dark rubber. One side actually has a hole in the sole.
For intermitant city walking, or for regular trail walking, these aren't bad shoes. For regular city walking, best to avoid them.
