A spacious 4 person tent that’s ideal for small families and group getaways.
- 4 Berth Family Tent
- All in one pitching style
- Taped seams - no leaks
The Hi Gear Rock 4
is a flexible family tent
for smaller families or couples looking for extra room. The tent and bedroom are separate parts that are permanently attached by a mesh panel, so you get the reduced condensation of a double-skin design without the hassle of fitting the inners every time you pitch. The sewn in groundsheet keeps drafts and insects out as well as protecting from wet ground.
The bedroom can be divided in 2 with a central curtain, and the tall windows in the front allow lots of light into the living area. The doors to the front and side can be converted to awnings with awning poles (sold separately).
A great tent for first time campers or those who want a simple and roomy tent for weekends away.

love this tent - but can`t seem to find anywhere to buy the matching canopy - can anyone help please?
GO Outdoors says: Unfortunately the Hi Gear Rock 4 Canopy is now discontinued and no longer in production. Upon checking all stores there is no stock left in the company.
Good tent poor poles, 30 May 2014

We have had this tent for less than 12 months. Unlike other reviewers we find it difficult to erect, especially if it is windy. The poles snag when threading through and seem to be under a lot of stress. In fact the 3rd time we have used it one of the pole sections snapped during erection. After a lot of cursing and head scratching, we wrapped the offending pole section with packing tape and it is currently holding up.
We have been camping for over 40 years and had ridge tents (Blacks) frame tents (Lichfield & Cabanon) and bought this tent to have something easier to erect and more lightweight. It is a cheap tent but we have never had poles break in any of our other tents and all have been subjected to torrential rain and gales.
Good tent but rubbish poles

Excellent spacious tent, very easy for one person to set up. Used it on several trips and always been very comfortable. Only critisim was that the Zip on the sewn in ground sheet is not made to go all the way around.

I mainly got this tent to attend superbike meetings. It is absolutely ideal for the meetings. Throw sleeping bag and bed in one room, gear and food in the other and store cooking gear in the front. Did a number of meetings last year, did round 2 of BSB at Oulton Park, May bank holiday and it is ideal for them.

My partner and I bought this tent for 1st time camping and as a trial run pitched it up in the garden to see how long to pitch. Got it up in no time at all. Once up it came over cloudy and then the heavens opened, hailstones strong winds and torrential rain lashed onto our tent but it stood up to the test so well pleased with that. Even slept in it the following evening and for someone in mid forties whose never camped before in her life I really enjoyed it and can't wait till our camping holiday next week. Would fully recommend this tent as plenty of room all round.
