A tough, lightweight and stable stove for campers.
The Hi Gear Portable Gas Cooker is lightweight, robust and very stable, a very useful cooker for any camping trip.
It uses standard 220g gas canisters, which slot in and lock in place very simply to get you cooking in no time. The canister is hidden away inside, so there's no need for trailing hoses or balancing acts.
It uses an automatic Piezo ignition system, so you won't have to fiddle around with matches or a lighter.

I bought this to go on European holiday. It comes in a carry case which we could easily take up to our Hotel rooms that don't all have tea/coffee making facilities. Cup of tea when ever we wanted. One gas bottle made us a cup of tea every morning for at least two weeks. So handy to have in the car for days out etc. We save the cost of this in one Holiday and still have seven of the eight gas bottles left. A MUST for the traveler who wants to save a fortune on motorway cafe prices.

Bought this Hi Gear Stove with a Go Outdoors bundle which included the gas canisters.
Took this Hi Gear Stove camping in Sussex in September 2014.
Easy to use. Safe, reliable durable.
Good colour choice.
Fairly light weight but bulky.
Wound not recommend for campers with minimal storage.
Uses a can of gas over 2-3 days assuming that we cooked breakfast and dinner for about 30-40 mins on medium heat.
Takes about 10 mins to boil 1 Litre of water in a camping kettle.
And 2mins to cremate a fried egg at maximum.
Cleans pretty easy with soap and water.
Keep it dry some areas that are not painted and could have the potential to go rusty over time.
Is it stabile on uneven ground? The flatter the better as per its instructions.
The wide base is good because it means your pots and pans don't fly off the hob every time you stir the beans.
Compared to the 'Summit' Gas Stove. The Hi Gear stove top can be a little trick to fit / pack away.
Comes with easy to read instructing.
A good carry case.
Canisters of gas fit in easy with no detectable leaks in the pipe work.
Works with other camping gas canisters of the same design.
Both my self and my Dad who has a Hi Gear cooking stove found after a few uses, the gas does become lethargic as it gets depleted. Solution seem to be stopping the stove and removing the gas can, shake it up which helps get the last of the Gas out.
Ignition works like a dream, not sure how to change the battery when required.
Over all a great piece of kit.
It supports our cooking gear. Easy to store. Easy to use.
I prefer the design of the Summit gas stove witch is simpler to assemble.

A spur of the moment purchase as the price was so good and my old stove was getting tired. This stove looks good and performs well. I'm very satisfied
