Hi Gear's Ridge Gaiters are slightly heavier than their Explorer gaiter, but
more durable thanks to the
laminate coating in high wear areas.
The Ridge are still
fully waterproof and fasten with a
full zip and a press stud.
The gaiter fits underfoot with a
adjustible webbing strap and has an
elasticated calf support for comfort along with a draw cord at the top.

Plastic buckle for the strap under the foot broke the first time they were worn.
In terms of keeping legs and boots dry they worked well, but found that they were a couple of inches short to go well over the boot and sit comfortably above the calf.

With lots of different brands out there I settled for these as they seemed like they would do the job. Never having worn gaiters before I had to get used to putting them on and walking in them. Performed brilliantly, kept my lower legs dry when walking through wet, low level ferns etc. I would recommend these for the job that they are designed for as they perform very well.

bought a pair of these recently for hill walking but have been a godsend during all the recent snow. They have been worn everyday at work- comfortable, warm and water proof. Great value for money
