Tough, strong, excellent bag, 20 June 2011
By Kim
I've had one of these sacks for well over 5 years. It's been all over the world with me. There are four reasons I love my bag:
Shoulder straps - It's so much easier to throw a back on your bag in an airport than to carry over a shoulder or use wheels when there'll be escalators or stairs. They adjust and there's also a waist strap to help with the load.
Large opening - have you ever had to completely unpack a rucksack to get to the bottom? This bag is dead easy to zip open and root around in.
Tough - I have literally dragged this bag around when using the underground in London and already having another sack on my back. The black bottom is reinforced and designed for punishment. It's also useful for if you're camping. If you put the bag down on wet ground it isn't a problem.
Straps - There are handles, shoulder straps and compression straps. You can adjust them all and this means you can strap everything down. This is really useful when you're putting your bag on a plane. I've seen ripped straps off backpacks caught in the luggage carousels at airports.

Heavy Duty Bag, 30 December 2010

The top cover/opening covers the zip to reduce the risk of water penetrating through the zip opening.
Large opening gives easy access to contents.
Heavy duty waterproof material that looks as if it would give years of use. Looks as if it would go through the airport luggage system without depositing the contents across the carosel..
Shoulder straps can be removed if not required but I useful if carrying several bags.

Good all-round travel bag, 20 July 2010

Bought this bag for my trip to Kilimanjaro this september. I used it this weekend for a practise weekend in Snowdonia and it stood up to everything the weather could through at us, keeping my gear dry even through a leaking tent.
It feels sturdy and well made and the padded shoulder straps are a nice addition, although I think if the bag were much over 15-20kg it probably wouldn't be too comfortable.
My only gripe, and the reason it doesn't get the full 5 stars (it would be 4 1/2 stars if I were allowed!) is that the bag is just one single compartment (with a small mesh pocket under the top flap. This means that everything goes in together so no way of separating wet and dry clothes without having an extra liner or binbag.
Apart from that a great buy at the price.
