An updated version of Hi Gear's extra large tunnel tent, perfect for relaxed family camping holidays.
The Hi Gear Kalahari 10 Elite
is a spacious and stable tunnel-style tent with two large partitionable bedrooms in a face-to-face layout, roomy enough for you, your family and all your gear.
Pre-attached high-visibility guylines, reduced pole sleeves, and sewn-in polyethylene groundsheet make pitching the tent quick and easy.
The bedrooms comfortably sleep five at each end of the tent, and have breathable polyester walls. Bedrooms can also be removed, to give you extra storage space, or room for dirty gear.
The huge living space has two large windows and hanging storage pockets to help keep it tidy, organised and liveable. Multiple vents along the roof help air flow throughout the tent.
The sewn-in groundsheet combined with the fire-retardant polyester flysheet (with 4000mm hydrostatic head) give you a fully sealed and ventilated internal environment, so you'll be completely protected from draughts and sustained downpours. The two doors can be propped and extended out to use for extra shelter from rain or stretching the space out for more room if it's sunny.
Other useful features include the water-repellent zips and an electrical cable access point.

Kalaharia 10 tent (blue) ????, 24 August 2016
By Streeter (Hampshire)
We have have this tent for 5 seasons now and we love it easy to pitch. the only thing I would say is that the porch needs an extra pole to stop it blowing in as we use it for cooking in . But we love this tent ?????? and it stood up to the vy high winds we had over he weekend (Aug 2016)

We had the previous Kalahari 10 for 3 years and found it amazing on numerous camping trips. Sadly it was wrecked last weekend during really bad wind in Filey. The poles splintered and split in several sections on 3 poles, the mesh on the air vents ripped and the fabric ripped across the middle The end kept blowing in and couldn't survive the constant battering. I wonder if a strap/ guy line in the centre section either end may have given it more stability. It was a great family tent and will be sadly missed.
Tired after 4 years and about 8 uses, 01 August 2016
By Seggsy (London)
I have had this tent for about 4 years. I bought it with a porch (essential in my opinion) and carpet (not essential but great to have). First 3 uses (so 2 years, once per year) great, but subsequent uses it started to leak. This year the seam seals are literally falling off and the tent leaks like a sieve such that it is unusable in anything but dry weather. I am looking into purchasing a dozen reels of seam sealing tape and trying to sort it out as the tent is fantastic. Huge amounts of room. The 2 larger of the 4 bedrooms can easily take a triple height double inflatable bed (yep i believe in comfort), the smaller bedrooms take a standard double inflatable. The seating area is huge. This weekend we had 8 big men sat around a table comfortably. This is a great family tent but just wished it had lasted a bit longer than it has.

Brilliant tent used for the TT this year bloody hot but easily cooled , didn't leak loads of room no issues with this tent at all , there were 7 of us in it
Good but Draughty, 18 May 2016
By Westy (Scunthorpe)
The space in the tent is great - we have 4 kids and they love it. Was cosy with 9 of us using it when friends joined us. However, the air vents do not stay closed as the Velcro is in-effective so it was VERY Draught and at times cold. we did camp on a windy weekend but if the vents were able to be zipped it may have been better.
Easy to set up and pack away but be careful of buying the proch as this is a poor fir to the tent and instructions for use are rubbish
