Info

The Hi Gear Typhoon Waterproof Overtrousers are a lined overtrouser with articulated knee panels for a superb range of movement.

Made with a polyester shell, they are hardwearing and thin enough to fit layers underneath.

The standard fit with elasticated waistband means they can fit every shape and can be adjusted for comfort.

The Typhoon has one useable pocket and one through pocket so you can reach inside to get those non-waterproof items out, like cameras or that cash.

With a 3/4 leg zip, you won't have to remove your boots to get them on, and you can ventilate if the weather gets warm but stays damp.

The long length versions have an inside leg measurement of 33".

Bargain - Great Buy, 23 August 2011
By Andypiebones (Birmingham)
I bought 2 pairs, one for the wife they are great value. Great big zip so you can get over boots easily, not too bulky, Pockets and elestic adjustable tie, could have spent a lot of money but glad I didn't.

Truly put to the test today..., 12 June 2011
By muzzychomp (Gloucestershire)
I bought these with a degree of scepticism as they were surrounded by big brands at three times the price in the store. I wondered whether it would be a case of "only getting what you pay for".

Today I wore them for the first time on a 10 mile walk which anyone with any sense would have not bothered with. It was raining before I started and it rained for every yard of the 10 miles. I was on footpaths through fields with long grass and fully grown crop. A true challenge for any overtrouser.

I chose to wear these HiGear trousers on their own (without my walking trousers underneath) as I new it wasn't going to dry up enough for me to take them off. They performed outstandingly. My legs remained dry and warm. It was a miserable walk and I expected to be soaked to the skin, but the combination of these trousers and my Regatta jacket worked perfectly.

I highly recommend these overtrousers, they are outstanding value and performed well beyond my expectations.
