You would be better off using the box, 29 September 2016
By Glyn (Poole)
Should have read the reviews first . What a load of rubbish. Badly designed and whistle/spout cover fell off because pivot points are too short to accommodate the spring. Took the first one back and exchanged it for another - in hindesight should have took the money. Ended up using it without the spring. However it leaks from the rim around the base and the paint is peeling off after only two uses. Left water in it overnight and found it in a puddle of water in the morning. Spout dribbles water when you try and pour. All in a a big pile of . . . . .
Whistling Kettle, 10 September 2016

Wish I'd read the reviews before I bought this as the spring broke the first time I used it and although its easy to fix everytime I also find that its doesn't pour without dripping boiling water
Would spend more and get something better!

We thought this was great for a few quid. True, the spring fell out of the mechanism for the whistling spout on first use but hey-ho, it was a fiver. We had three cups of tea out of it with no scalding. Great for days out coupled with the gas stove.
Complete rubbish, 21 August 2016
The plastic on the lid/spout is not heat resistant and bends during heating this in turn bends it out of shape. Wish I had never purchased this kettle
Do not buy!, 20 August 2016

We have had a lot of laughs over this kettle! It takes 2 to fill it, one to hold the lid open and another to pour the water into it. The handle heats up too much and if you manage to pick it up the steam scalds you as it pours. The water leaks below the spout. It's one saving grace is that the water does actually boil well in it. The children love it in their pretend kitchen where no water goes near it! How it passed health and safety I don't know.
