if like me you don't want wide fronted boots (raichle/mammut or brasher) these are ideal, i wore a pair on the 40mile coventry way withing two weeks of owning them and with only a thin pair of socks came through completely unscathed. that told me a lot about these boots. if you are a very heavy user of boots these should happily last 9-12months, second pair on now and no complaints. ps, if anyone can recommend boots that will last me more than 12months i'd be happy to know!
