Good budget socks, 22 March 2017
By KSAR Jim (DOVER)
I have a number of pairs of Bridgedale and 1000mile hiking socks and needed some more for an upcoming trip.
These are a great all round compromise. They are not as tight fitting (I am a size 9) as some of the more expensive designs, but still do the job very well. They are a great staple addition to your kit list and not bad at half the price of the more expensive ones.

Wearing good socks really important. I work in forestry and am out in all weathers or in cold concrete floored sheds /workshops. I found these well priced and very snug and warm. Good cushioning too. At that price will go back for more.

Bought these November. Returning to shop today. Was on wool setting and leave to hang dry. Have noticed theyare shrinking! Material has gone really tight and now other half can't get them on. I now have difficulty putting my hand in to turn inside out. Very very disappointed
