A fast lacing general purpose rock shoe.
The versatile Evolv Bandit rock shoe utilises tube style eyelets to provide faster closure than a traditional lace up, while giving more precise adjustment than most Velcro's. The double layer perforated upper provides stiffness and support without sacrificing breathability. Finished with Trax XT5 rubber for all the grip you need.

I have had my bandits for 12 months now and have had to have them resoled as i wore a hole in the toe, given they have been used 4 or 5 times a week for the last 12 months this was expected, They are super sticky and have been great indoor and out.

A Very Precise Shoe..., 04 May 2011

I had always climbed in Red Chili shoes but since design changes took place I just couldn't find a pair which gave a decent fit any more. I then had to try on as many pairs of shoes as I could to see which would fit best and it turned out to be these ones. I have a wide forefoot and these are perfect for me, although there is some slight bagginess in the heel, this is actually very little when compared with lots of other shoes I had tried.
The shoe performs absolutely brilliantly when edging and getting the toe into even the smallest of pockets. They could perform a little better when edging with the outside of the foot, but the inside is superb. I've also found that toe hooking with this shoe works very well as the shoe is slightly down-turned. The rubber is very sticky and provides a lot of friction for smearing - I tested this against every shoe in the shop and found the difference with these was noticeable.
The main disadvantage I've found is the upper material which they've used. They have tried to make an eco-friendly shoe, and in doing so have used synthetic material instead of the more commonly used leather. Green points go to Evolv for this, but I find that my feet sweat in these more than normal, so after a long day climbing in hot weather they can get a bit funky!
In summary, would I buy these again? Yes, I actually bought a couple of pairs for the future when I wear my current pair out. That's how good they are!

After trying on all the shoes at Go outdoors (and I mean every pair) I found the bandit to be the best fit for my feet. On my local wall I have found them to smear really well and edge pretty good. They gave me much more confidence than the hire shoes you tend to get from climbing centres.
They fit very tight and my not feel as slipper like as the defy to walk around in, but in the gym they have an aggressive feel with out being to aggressive and have really helped me gain more confidence edging and toeing.
Im sure if this shoe feels right for your foot shape you will not be disappointed by its performance.
