Features
Aquamira Frontier Pro Water Filter:
This might be the ultimate pump-free filtration system!
Small, compact and easy to use, with no pumps or tangle-prone hoses, it's suitable for multiple use, and with the active MiraGuard™ system, you don't need to worry about any nasties growing inside it between uses.
Using the universal connectivity system, it will connect directly with almost anything, and will connect with any water bottle with a 28mm opening, such as a Platypus or standard spring water bottle.
Using the tube connection feature, you can connect to the drink tube of your hydration system or drink from any open container or water source, so there's no chance of confusing inlet and outlet tubes, avoiding any possible cross contamination.
The patented Bite Me valve provides drip-free easy drinking and the integrated cap and Strap Grip keep the drinking end clean and contamination free.
The ultra-light (2 oz dry) and compact (6.75", 17cm) design is less than half the weight and takes up less than half the space of a typical “pump” type filter system.
The Aquamira porous plastic microfilter removes 99.9% of Cryptosporidium, Giardia and other contaminants down to 3 microns.

not perfect, but still good, 29 December 2010
By andy (hampshire)
used this out in peru for six weeks, mainly to drink the tap water (which will make you sick)
performance wise, it seemed to perform perfectly, keeping me fit and healthy througout the trip.
however, there where some issues. after the first few uses, it became fairly difficult to suck water through the filter, making drinking a difficult job, although still do-able. the gravity feed feature also slowed down, although I didn't use this feature much.
my only other slight issues where that the supplied extension tube was a little too short for some sigg type waterbottles and that the tube fitting wouldn't fit my hydration pack.
all in all, a decent bit of kit, if a little difficult to use at times.
