Front End Developer up to £25k
We are recruiting a talented Front End Developer to join their in-house design team. You will be involved in every aspect of the e-commerce platform, GOoutdoors.co.uk.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years professional experience and a relevant design qualification. You will be able to work both within a team and autonomously to a high standard. You will have a passion for creative work and a strong understanding of design principles to complement your technical ability. Although this is a web role, we have a multi-talented team and you will have a broad range of communication skills both personally and professionally.
An enthusiasm for the outdoors is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Web design for company promotions, e-shots, site banners and site.
- Working within the team to strict guidelines and timescales
- Maintenance and development of a significant, high-profile website within the outdoor industry
Requirements:
- 2 years minimum professional experience
- Degree level or equivalent qualification in Web Design, Multimedia Design or similar
- Mandatory experience of the Adobe design environment, particularly: Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash (ActionScript advantageous)
- Experience of design principles, website usability and SEO
- Extensive knowledge of W3C standards including XHTML and CSS skills
- Working knowledge of Javascript
- Knowledge of e-shot development and execution
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Solid grasp of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel
- Willingness to work in a Windows environment on HP 'Z Series' workstations
Other Information:
This is a permanent, full-time position with a salary of £20-25k, reporting to the Head of Ecommerce at our Sheffield head-office.
