Experience the unique fun of fat biking on snow, sand and trails - just like mum and dad.

The Calibre Ripple Fat Bike is designed around 20" wheels that are the ideal size for kids, especially with the large volume Maxxis Creepy Crawler 2.5" tyres on top. The Creepy Crawler is officially a trials bike tyre, making it super grippy and durable on either loose or rocky terrain. The tough 25 TPI casing provides excellent dampening over bumps and the tyres expand brilliantly on the Ripple's wide alloy rims.

The frame is designed to maximise on the inherent fun and versatility of fat biking. Whether you're gliding through snow or ripping up the local trails, the Ripple frame is fun, fast and responsive. Strong steel tubing is used throughout with precise, hand-welded joins and the rigid frame and forks let the natural suspension of the fat tyres do the talking.

Shimano Tourney gearing provides a nice range of seven gears for taking on varied terrain. Controlled with an easy-to-use thumb shifter, it's a smooth system that works well even under load. Tektro Novela mechanical disc brakes supply powerful, reliable braking with 160mm disc rotors front and back.

Overall, the Ripple is an incredibly fun kids' mountain bike making great use of the latest developments in fat biking to provide youngsters with a unique way of enjoying a wide range of riding conditions. The stability and natural suspension of fat tyres are perfect for kids developing their off-road skills and the Ripple proves that fat bikes are here to stay for riders of all ages.

Fat bikes have taken the mountain biking community by storm over the last few years. Fat bikes are mountain bikes with huge 4-5" tyres run at very low pressures. They were originally designed for use in snow and sand where the big, low-pressure tyres float on the surface, letting you ride in conditions when your tyres would normally sink and get stuck.

Now people have realised that the big tyres provide a sort of natural suspension and that they are great fun to ride on normal trails in normal conditions too. The big wheels simply soak up bumps and roll over obstacles that might upset normal mountain bike wheels. The low-pressure tyres also mean a unique, fluid riding style that is incredibly fun and unlike any other kind of mountain biking!
