A classic hardtail mountain bike which builds on the success of the award-winning Calibre Two.Two.
The Calibre Crag Mountain Bike
gives you great value XC performance with full Shimano shifting, mechanical disc brakes and Suntour suspension forks, with a fresh new livery for 2016.
The frame itself is constructed from aerospace-grade 6061 aluminium
, hydroformed for optimum trail ruggedness and precisely hand-welded at every join. The geometry is designed around the 26" wheels for classic XC handling while modern touches like a slackened head angle
bring things right up the minute with better handling on tougher trails. Suntour XCT forks
provide 100mm of responsive, coil-sprung front suspension
to keep you in control over rough terrain.
Full Shimano shifting
ensures an efficient drivetrain to keep you moving fast. A 24x34x42T triple chainset combines with a 7-speed rear derailleur for a huge range of 21 gears
, each of which is easily, quickly, and smoothly accessible with the Shimano EZ-Fire shifters
on your handlebars. Whatever the terrain throws at you, you'll have a gear to handle it. When you do need to slow down, powerful mechanical disc brakes with 160mm rotors
will provide the stopping power consistently and reliably every time.
The bike rolls on 26" wheels
with durable double-wall alloy rims
and hardwearing steel hubs
. 26" wheels are easier to control than bigger 27.5" or 29" wheels, making them great for newer mountain bikers who are still honing their skills. The wheels are shod with 2.1" tyres with a fast and grippy tread
for great versatility in varied conditions and terrain.
In short, the Crag is like the Two.Two but even better. The frame has proven itself time and time again, impressing experts in the media and regular Go Outdoors customers alike. With a brand new spec and the same amazing value for money, the Crag is set for even bigger things.

great bike for the money ,I did 2000 km before it's first 6 weeks service ,and then cycled from france to the other side of spain covering 1553 km in 22 days non-stop (750km on road and 803km off road and clinbing 1500 m asl) and then did another 200 km over the next 8 days with 30kgs of luggage ,and all i did was oil the chain once every other day and few other places because it was very hot most days above 35c.parts are cheap and easy to get hold of
Good entry level MTB, 17 July 2016
By rsvmille (kent)
Ideal entry level bike for country parks/local trails and is good value for money. Take it to somewhere like Bedgebury Pinetum and its weaknesses show. I have now replaced the front forks for rockshox, wider handle bars, BB7 Avid brakes and discs, 60mm stem and magic mary tyres Have also changed the seat and swapped the pedals for clipons but that is a personal thing. If you are looking to start MTB'ing but don't want to spend £!k plus before you really know this is for you then this bike is a great place to start for the money.
Rugged & fun, 15 January 2016

I bought this MTB 2weeks ago. I've been out with it a few times now-rugged & fun covers it superbly. I've thrown it around tracks/water & deep mud. For the money it does its job excellently. Highly recommended.
What a bargain, 31 December 2015

My brother bought this bike today for reduced price of £199...what a bike for the price. Lightweight, disc brakes, good make and supplied built. Bargain.
Only tried it for 30 mins, 25 October 2015

A mate brought one of these into our office and I manage to get 30 minutes on it before he had to take it away again.
If you are on a tight budget and want to buy a cheap mountain bike then this is the business. It's even listed as one of the best mountain bikes under £500 here http://twowheelsbetter.cc/best-of/best-mountain-bikes-under-500/.
If you don't mind riding a 26er then look at the two.two as well as I have had one of these for 2 years now and it is bombproof.
