Calibre's award-winning full-suspension mountain bike, available exclusively at GO Outdoors.

Just awarded MBR's Bike of the Year 2015, the Calibre Bossnut has been designed for both newcomers and experienced riders, with geometry that's tuned for confidence-inspiring stability and able to respond sharply to aggressive riding.

This full-suspension bike will help you conquer those rough, steeper terrains that a hardtail simply can't handle, giving you plenty of scope for future upgrading as your riding progresses.

It has a double-butted aluminium frame with a smooth-welded front triangle and a single pivot swing arm designed around 130mm travel platform, giving an ideal amount of suspension for all-round trail riding.

The RockShox Sektor Silver Solo Air fork and the Monarch R rear shock offer plush air-sprung suspension with rebound adjustment, the front fork being lockout-equipped for efficient pedaling when suspension isn't required. The rear shock maintains traction over rough ground, giving you greater control of your bike and letting you power through terrain that would previously have you grabbing your brakes.

The full Shimano Deore 2x10 groupset includes a clutch-equipped Shadow+ rear mech for improved chain retention, rugged enough to take serious trail abuse whilst still providing precise, efficient performance. The Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, and their integrated I-spec lever design, bolts together with the gear levers for a tidy, easy-to-use cockpit.

Deore hubs and tubeless-ready WTB ST i25 rims continue the upgrading theme, allowing you to make the move to tubeless tyres with a minimum of fuss. The WTB Vigilante sits on the front wheel to provide extra control and grip while cornering, while the Bee Line's lower tread keeps the rear wheel rolling fast.

Ritchey provide their famous high-quality aluminium components for the seatpost, stem and handlebars with their Trail Rizer bars right on trend for the modern trail rider at a 760mm width.

The Bossnut Ladies is also now available, designed with a women's specific size and components. Please click here for more information.

Fantastic bike it is as good as all the reviews say. I fitted a dropper post and different pedals, it feels so solid in all conditions so 10/10 from me.

2016 Bossnut 17.5" Frame, 13 March 2017
By Matt (Billingham)
I bought this bike in Febuary 2017 after reading all the reviews available online and speaking to Ian and Jason at the bike centre in the Portrack branch.
I have to say I'm extremely impressed, especially seeing I paid £899 for it on special. I mean a fully sorted trail bike for cheapy hard tail money!!!
Don't delay buy one today. All I need to do is change it to single chain ring up front, add a dropper post (RSP Plummet £90 Go Outdoors also) and have them convert it to tubeless to save on a bit of rotational weight and i'm there.
My previous bike was a Lappierre Zesty which was around £2K in 2012, I actually prefer this.
Big shout out to the lads at Portrack branch, Cheers lads, top call.

Fantastic!, 12 February 2017

Bought this bike last summer and haven't looked back. This is my first full sus and I wasn't too sure about spending the money, but by jeepers it's money very well spent! The reviews on MBR, Bike Radar etc are spot on, and it's easy to see why it's getting the full 5 stars. The only change I made was adding a dropper seat post. My confidence has grown so much and I'm absolutely loving hitting the trails. Highly recommend this bike.

Wasn't sure whether to splash this kind of money on a bike but after now having it a few months I love it! This is my first full suspension bike and it rides the trails so much better than a hardtail.
Did have the rear shock fail (which I am told could happen in cold weather) but Go Outdoors sent it away & fixed it without charging me.
This really is a great bike if you want to get into mountain biking or step up from a hardtail without spending crazy money for other full suspension bikes with similar specs

What a bike!! My first full sus. before I splash some big (ger) cash. So no experience to compare against but have ridden ht's for a number of years and 'The Boss' completely changes the way I ride xc/singletrack. It inspires confidence with its planted feel, plush suspension and spot on gearing (although a 42t cassette ring would really make a difference). Brakes are more than capable to complete a great package. First outing at Swinley trail park recently, had an absolute hoot. No issues out of the box, up and running within an hour. Two additions - rockshox dropper and tubeless conversion using wtb rim tape, valves and Stan's fluid. Tyres seated no problem just a bit fiddly in using the sealant but well worth the conversion. One minor grumble, is its weight but at this price and performance that pales into insignificance. 'The Boss' does give the feeling of being bombproof!!
