Up until now I used a cheap pair of walking socks. But I am decided to get some decent socks seeing as I was doing a 20 mile hike.
They feel like normal socks when you put them on but as soon as your foot goes into the boot it feels like you are wearing slippers. The proof that these socks did the job was at the end of 20 miles.
Although feet where sore and quite damp due to sweating I had not a single blister which I was very pleased with.

After always using cheap or old football socks I was persuaded to try these quality socks. What a difference they have made to my walking experience. Comfortable with no protruding seams and extra padding in the right areas. It is a remarkable experience to come down from the hills now without sore feet. No more substandard socks for me now that I have seen the light in this respect.

Maybe not quite as good as the 4 season, but cheaper, so still get five stars. They are well made, warm and comfy. No protruding seams and a very good fit makes for a comfy all round sock. If you've always gone for bargain basement socks, give these a try and you'll feel the difference straight away.
