January 18th marks the annual ‘Winnie the Pooh Day’, which is celebrated on the birthday of the author A.A. Milne. The special day is a chance for Pooh Bear fans of all ages to celebrate their love for one of Britain’s best loved story characters. If you enjoy Pooh’s adventures with Piglet, Eeyore and co., did you know that you can visit where the ideas and stories came from?

With the right gear, you can camp throughout the year
Camping holidays are a part of British culture. With so much amazing countryside within a couple of hours of our homes – and in many cases less than an hour – it has become an immensely popular activity, especially for families looking to get away on a short holiday.
The rolling countryside, beautiful rivers and lakes, imposing mountains and local wildlife all add to the experience of camping in the UK. So much so, in fact, that people are looking to go all year round and winter camping in the UK is thriving.
How can you get fit without the costly gym membership?
January comes with a torrent of celebrity-endorsed fitness DVD’s and all the local Gym’s telling you that it’s a new year and a new you (for their small sign up fee). While gyms are great for fitness, there are also plenty of ways to keep fit outdoors, and the scenery is a little nicer too.
Here we take a look at the best ways to lose a few pounds through 2018:

What do you want to achieve in 2018?
You’ve probably heard of a bucket list, it’s the idea of creating a list of all the things you want to do before you ‘kick the bucket’, but it’s also a great way to keep track of your goals on a short-term basis as well. Here are a few reasons we think you should document all the things you want to achieve in 2018.
Unwind with a Boxing Day walk
You’ve spent most of the last month driving yourself crazy about buying presents and making ‘the big day’ everything you’d hoped it would be. Christmas is fantastic family time, but for many, it’s still difficult to unwind (let’s not forget the members of the family cooking one of the most stressful meals of the year). Boxing Day is a time to breathe a sigh of relief, and a fantastic time to get outdoors and blow away the cobwebs. Read more

The velvet suit is nice, but is it right for all the conditions Santa might face?
For a man that lives in the North Pole (or Lapland, depending on your story), Santa never seems to feel the cold. When he’s making his rounds on Christmas eve, he’ll be crossing through all manners of weather – so we’ve decided to offer the big man some advice to make the trip a little more comfortable.
