We’re so glad it’s Blue Monday!
Apparently we’re supposed to be miserable on Blue Monday, but that doesn’t seem very fun. So when Blue Monday hit we decided to get excited about the new 2017 range of Hi Gear Elite tents, because they’re #BackInBlue. Take a look at the range below as we go over what you can expect from the Hi Gear Elite range this year.
This year Hi Gear have fully revamped their family camping range, taking on comments and feedback from our customers on how to improve an already popular range. As well as slight dimension and weight changes the main changes for 2017 are:
- Darkened Bedrooms – If you’re a light sleeper and you’ve camped through the summer, then you probably begrudge the early sunrise as you struggle to turn over and get back to sleep. The new Elite range features darkened bedrooms, which make for a better nights sleep for you and especially if you camp with children.
- Easy-pack Bags – For many years we have all struggled and toiled with packing tents away, the Easy Pack Bag is now here to the rescue, the simple but effective compression design is a god send to the camp site making even the most difficult tent easy to pack away. ‘Why didn’t someone do this earlier!!’ we hear you all cry. The Easy Pack bag will soon be available to buy separately to use with existing family tents.
- Dual Entry Cable points – No longer will your tent be the wrong way round, Hi Gear have now included cable entry points to both sides of the tents, so whichever way you pitch your tent you can conveniently access the available electric feed.
The Hi Gear Elite Tent Range
A simple to pitch tunnel tent that is ideal for weekends away. The tent offers standing room in the porch area and a bedroom area that will sleep 3, or 2 with all your kit.
Looking for a little more space than the Aura 3? Look no further than the Enigma 5. An ideal tent for couples, or small families. This tent has standing space in the porch, as well as a single bedroom with plenty of room to sleep 3 or 4 with their gear.
The brand new addition to the Hi Gear Elite family, the Odyssey takes on the shape of the tents that were hugely popular in 2016. The spacious offering is set to be popular with families looking to staycations for a family holiday in 2017. The tent features 2 bedrooms that will comfortably sleep 2-3 each, depending on how much gear you have.
The Zenobia has been a staple of the Hi Gear range since it’s beginnings and each year it proves to be popular among families, or even large groups of friends. The tunnel design features a bedroom at each end with a living area in the middle that offers ample space for those light evening camping drinks. The Zenobia now features the fantastic upgrades mentioned above to make it even better.
Another popular choice among Hi Gear camping fans, we think the Voyager looks better than ever in it’s new sapphire blue makeover. The large windows and doors make this tent great for sunlight. Built using a strong semi-geodesic structure, the Hi Gear Voyager Elite 6 is an easily-pitched tent with room to accommodate 6 campers and all their gear.
The monsters of the Hi Gear range, the Kalahari’s are ideal tents for those looking for maximum space. Spacious and stable tunnel-style tents with two large partitionable bedrooms in a face-to-face layout, roomy enough for you, your family and all your gear.
The large living space has two large windows and hanging storage pockets to help keep it tidy, organised and liveable. Multiple vents along the roof help air flow throughout the tent.
New to the Elite range (having been part of the Premium range in previous years) Hi Gear have created a lower cost, lower weight pair of steel poled family tents, making these fantastic tents accessible to even more families. The Oasis range feature the popular shape of family tent, with large living areas with panoramic windows creating a light and airy feel inside.
Steel poles mean that these tents are incredibly sturdy in poor weather, making these tents ideal from Spring to Autumn for all your staycation needs.
