Monthly Archives: March 2013
Easter is here, and for many it is usually the start of their camping Summer. This time last year we were facing double digit heat and an early Summer, while this year – there’s still snow on the ground for a lot of the UK. Since we know a lot of you have had to cancel your camping holidays for the weekend (not everyone likes the cold) we thought we’d take to Facebook and Twitter and ask our customers, If they could take a famous person camping, who would it be and why?
It’s always exciting coming into a new season, even if the weather doesn’t strictly follow us. In this series, we’re asking around head office for some staff ‘favourite 5s’ of the upcoming season. One of the items we are asked most about through the year are tents, so we went back to our Tent buyer Nick for his favourite 5 of 2013.
Top 5 Tents from Nick – Tent Buyer.
In this series, we’re darting around head office picking up tips on what our staff’s favourite 5 products are in a variety of categories. This week we take a look at some added extras to take while camping.
Top 5 Camping Equipment pieces from Jeff – Camping Buyer.
Which gear would our staff choose from the upcoming season?
In this series, we’ll be asking our head office staff to tell us what their favourite 5 products are in specific categories, so you can really get an idea over what we’re excited about this season.
Top 5 Packs from Dan and Joe – Web Content Writers.
Terrifying POV video footage of a fall in Snowdonia.
On February 24th Mark Roberts set out on a routine climb in Snowdonia, near Crib Goch with two friends. But a chunk of falling ice, soon changed the shape of their day when it knocked him into a 100ft slide down the side of the mountain. All of this was caught on camera with his helmet cam.
GO staff hit the hills with the guys from Mammut
Mammut are on the rise here in the UK, offering some great high end technical gear to tackle some of the worlds worst conditions. To help get our staff involved in what they do, Mammut offered to take GO staff on a Mammut experience day, to find out exactly what the Mammoth was all about.
In this series, we’ll be asking members of our head office staff to pick their top 5 products in specific categories for the upcoming season, to help you guys get a sense of what we’re really excited about hitting the shelves.
