An ice tool featuring a strong, stiff yet lightweight Hydroform shaft. Modular head enables pick or hammer change out. The Viper design comes ready equipped for use with the Android 'clipper' leash that eases the switching of tools and arrangement of protection (Android leash not included). This hammer version of the Viper enables the placement of drive in protection. Coupled with the Viper Adze, equipped with a cutting tool that enables the creation of stances and belays, you are ready for the best and worst the mountains have to offer.

These axes are the business, typical Black Diamond robustness and intelligent design. They are superb for pure ice routes and aren't that bad at the mixed! The button leash system is easy to use, allowing swift gear placements, alternatively if you are a leashless monkey these axes won't disappoint either... Haven't used a better all round axe in 20 years of winter climbing. Oh and they're orange :-)
