II have a number of these and they are of universally good quality. The fleeces are great for casual wear as well as hiking and have not pilled at all. The full zip was very shabby in comparison. These work best with a baselayer and depending on the temperature, a full zip fleece of thicker material , soft or hard shell on top. Although not windproof, with a base layer they are not too bad in moderate winds

I have got two of these and they are up to Berghaus usual very high standard. The material feels lovely with a little stretch and they are really warm in the cold but they are also breathable so they keep you really comfortable in all weathers. There is a zip to help with venting and a useful pocket for bus passes, keys etc. I have got several other makes of fleece but this is by far the best i have owned.
