The Spectrum IA Gilet is a warm, durable fleece bodywarmer-style top without arms, that can be either worn on it's own or zipped into an interactive shell for extra warmth.
Midweight, the Spectrum IA Gilet is made from Berghaus' AWL 200 polyester fleece, so it is quick-drying, resists pilling and fading and needs less care.
A high neck offers further protection from the elements, and an elasticated hem will keep cold out and heat in when you need to.
With two zipped hand warmer pockets and a zipped chest pocket there's plenty of space for storing your kit or daily essentials safely, making it great for walks and light activity, all at the midweight yet comforting 400g.

A very versitile piece of kit either as an added layer when walking or IA with a hard shell. I find the pilling moderately bad ( worse than the micro 1/4 zip and not as bad as the full zip) which could be down to friction though. It is not really a gillett suited to the outdoorsman who needs alot of pockets eg anglers, and is not designed for winter days or wind except as part of a layering system

Purchased this product for hiking purposes as a mid layer for autumn and winter and can safely say this was a worthwhile purchase. It keeps body warm in the coldest of weathers and also provides warmth to the neck aswell as it has a collar to it.
The quality of this product is outstanding and outmatches any of the cheaper brand and even some of the more expensive one.
It isnt a very thick fleece but does work well as a mid layer or even by itself during warmer climates.
Would definetly recommend to all who are considering this product.
