The Berghaus RG1 Insulated Jacket is their warmer version of the Berghaus RG1, which is seen protecting contented trekkers at the summits of most peaks in the UK.
It has a hardwearing nylon rip-stop outer layer, and is also very lightweight for its class, weighing in at an excellent 540g.
The RG1 Jacket has a DWR (Durable Water Repellent Treatment) applied to the fabric which is made from Berghaus’ own AQ™2 technical material.
The hood is large enough to fit a hat/helmet; ideal for climbing and walking, and it rolls away neatly into the collar when not required.
The RG1 Insulated jacket has two outer-zipped pockets which have hand-warming micro fleece lining to keep your hands toasty warm in those freezing springtime temperatures!

I have shells, fleeces, and down jackets, but this RG1 Insulated ticks all the boxes. Waterproof, windproof and warm without the bulk of a fleece for insulation. Very light and warm 'anytime' jacket. Ideal for our climate.

I bought this coat before the recent bad weather and I'm so glad I did! This coat is so versatile. The high collar and longer back help to keep you warm and dry in the cold wind and rain. I found that with a single fleece top underneath, this coat kept me warm even though it was -3! I would definitely recommend this coat to anyone for everyday use.
