The

Good wind/rain proof jacket, 06 July 2011

Bought this jacket before a walking holiday in Wales. Plenty of wind and rain to test it out in and it kept me nice and dry. The hood isn't the best in the world, but it does the job.
I've also been pleased that although not padded, it's kept me surprisingly warm. I've not tested it in very cold temperatures, but so far this year in the UK a T-shirt and this jacket is all that i've needed.
This combined with a good midlayer and base layer should be more than adequate for any weather the UK has to throw at you.
I'm tall (6'4"), and the cut of this jacket, length of the sleeves etc fits me perfectly.

As the sleeves on ladies jackets are rarely long enough for me, I decided to buy this blokes jacket. The sleeves are lovely and long and you can adjust the bottoms using the velcro. The four large pockets are great for keeping maps, mobile phones, purses, dog leads, dog treats and poo bags. A good length covers my bum and keep me dry but not sweaty. The hood could do with being a bit bigger, but you can't have it all.
